BAPTISM
Some time ago - a little lady at church pointed at me from the back of the back of the church and asked me to walk back to her. I was afraid that maybe she was going to call me down for wearing a hat into church, since she was an elder and might not take that too kindly. When I got to her, she hugged me and whispered into my ear “God loves to bless people, he says, let him.” Now, when someone tells you something like that, it’s not meant to be ignored. The more that I talk with people and have experiences with Musicians On Call (which has restored my spirtuality,) I asked myself, if I can touch lives through my music and my heart without having the official “symbol” of God, can I possibly imagine what it will be like once I completely put it in his hands. So, needless to say, yesterday was a great feeling.
Over 21 were baptized at the Nashville campus of Crosspoint. My friends and family gathered for what was an incredibly moving service. Blake & Pete (pastors at Crosspoint) have completely changed my life and they have such a wonderful thing going at Crosspoint. I loved Pete’s blog today, he had attend service at the Dickson campus yesterday where a 71 year old was baptized. His post said NEVER GIVE UP ON SOMEONE, whether they’re 17 or 71 who knows when He’ll move in their heart and they’ll have their defining moment with the cross.
